2013 Activities

From April 18 to May 2, 2013 the Math on the Move team visited thirteen communities in Saskatchewan with inquiry-based mathematics activities for grades nine and ten students. In these communities, we facilitated 14 sessions, working with a total of 482 students, as well as 48 teachers and administrators. The 2013 excursions culminated in Saskatoon with a presentation at SUM 2013, a conference organized by the Saskatchewan Mathematics Teachers' Society. In total, the MOTM 2013 team travelled over 3,000 kilometres.

The communities we visited are listed on the right and are linked to a few photographs. Many more photos are posted on facebook.

The Math on the Move 2013 team consists of two faculty members (from the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Education) and five University of Regina students (from the Faculty of Education).
